Everybody is affected by colour and in common with most things that affect our moods and feelings, it is natural for us humans to express our feelings and thoughts in writing, poetry, drama, music and song. Some of us are more 'tuned' into this than others! But have you ever wondered just how many songs have been written about colour? Or, perhaps you want to know of artists that have adopted a colour as part or all of their name? How many songs have a particular colour in their title? Well, soon you will be able to find out! We are developing this section of our website in response to the number of enquiries that we receive about songs, artists and song lyrics or titles involving colour. If you know of any that you would like us to add, please let us know at songs@scarletpixel.com For your convenience, we have sorted songs and artists into individual colours. All you need to do is to click on the coloured musical note of your choice and see just how many of these tunes you actually know! We would love to know what you think of this new section, just let us know at: songs@scarletpixel.com This section is still being developed but you can try the Yellow section out now! Choose any colour... (so long as it's Yellow!) Did you know that on 29th July 2002 Darius Danesh released a beautiful new song, entitled 'Colour Blind'? It's a great song, and you must have heard it by now, it has been played on every radio station and it reached number one in the UK charts and has gone on to become an all time classic! If you want help singing along, here are the lyrics! Congratulations to Laura Johnson from Liverpool who won herself a copy of the CD in one of our previous competitions.
