Colour analysis is a fascinating subject and despite the fact that we all make important colour choices every day, some people find it very difficult to co-ordinate the colours of their clothing! To address this problem, high street retailers, Marks and Spencers are currently looking at a high tech solution to help prevent those awful colour clashes from occurring. In the near future, their clothing will be fitted with small microchips to help customers chose the right combination of garments. In the privacy of a changing room, shoppers will pass their items over a scanner which will sound an alarm if the combination is likely to be a fashion disaster.

This new technology will possibly be of more benefit to men who are often criticised for their lack of colour sense and soon they may no longer feel the need to venture out of their changing rooms to seek the approval of their partners! This 'smart garment' technology is likely to be developed in the near future for other types of information and the day may not be far away when your whites and light coloured clothes will squeal violently if you should so much as dare to put them in a washing machine along with dark colours or on too hot a wash!
